Kensington Play Centre & Swing Set (Green Slide)

The Kensington is the biggest single thing we sell, and for a lot of families it's the only backyard purchase they ever need to make: a cubby house, a slide and a two-seat swing set in one structure. Instead of buying a cubby now and a swing set in two years, you put one thing up and it covers ages three to about ten.

What's in it

• Elevated cubby with a sheltered play space underneath – the bit under the platform ends up being where kids actually spend their time
• Green wave slide off the platform
• Double swing beam with two height-adjustable seats, so two kids can swing side by side
• Weather-resistant build for year-round outdoor use

Before you order

This is a big footprint. Measure your yard and allow roughly a metre of clear run-out at the bottom of the slide and around two metres of clear swing arc behind the swing beam – that clearance is what stops the set feeling cramped once it's up. You want reasonably level ground; a sloping lawn makes assembly much harder than the instructions suggest.

Assembly is a weekend job for two adults rather than an afternoon for one. Plan for a full day and don't start it at 3pm on a Sunday.

Is it the right one?

If you want the cubby to be the main event and the swings are a nice-to-have, look at the Marlie or Kingston instead. If it's really the swinging your kids are after and the cubby is secondary, the Winston gives you four stations for a lot less. The Kensington is for the family that genuinely wants both and has the yard for it.
