Layby – Terms and Conditions
Bubby Cubby is not a financial adviser or planner, but we do believe in responsible spending, which is why we offer Layby as a payment option for our outdoor play equipment.
We believe every child should have the opportunity to get the right cubby house, swing set, trampoline or other outdoor play equipment that will benefit their mental and physical development.
How to start a Layby
Layby isn't available as a button at checkout – we arrange each one personally. To get started, email us at Hello@bubbycubby.com.au with:
- the item (or items) you'd like, including any colour or size options;
- your delivery postcode, so we can include the freight cost in the agreement; and
- whether you'd prefer to pay monthly or fortnightly.
We'll reply with the total, a payment schedule and the agreement in writing. Once you're happy with it, we'll send the first invoice and your item is reserved. Please don't place the order through the website first – just email us and we'll set it up.
If you'd rather pay it off automatically without contacting us, ZipPay and ZipMoney are available at checkout and do much the same thing.
Terms and conditions
Our Layby scheme runs over a 3 month term:
- Customer agrees to make 4 to 8 payments on Layby over 3 months to fulfil this order.
- A new invoice will be sent to the customer on an agreed date of every month, or day of the week every fortnight, or otherwise specified, and should be paid within 5 days of receiving the invoice.
- As with Australian laws, the customer can cancel an order before the final payment is made. However, a 5% (of the cost of the item) or $100 administrative fee, whichever is lower, will apply.
- The order will only be finalised and shipped after the final payment has been made.
- Shipping will be calculated into the cost of the Layby at the start of the Layby agreement.
- Customer may choose to pay the full amount before the end of the Layby term with no penalty.
- ZipMoney may not be used to pay Layby payments. If ZipMoney is used, an additional 5% per transaction will be added to the next Layby invoice payment; or if it is the last Layby invoice, an additional invoice to cover the extra 5% will need to be paid before the item is shipped.
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If you have any questions about Layby, email Hello@bubbycubby.com.au and we'll talk it through.
