River Fort Set

The River Fort is the most complete timber play set we stock. Fort, slide, monkey bars, two swings, climbing wall, sandpit and a picnic bench – it is essentially a small playground, and it's sized accordingly.

The numbers

• Assembled: 3.94m long × 4.3m wide × 2.62m high
• Rated to 120kg, suitable for ages five and up with supervision
• Fir timber with metal brackets, natural timber stain
• Minimum two metres clearance from fences, trees and structures on all sides
• Roughly two hours to assemble for one or two adults – all hardware and instructions included

Measure first

With the two-metre clearance allowed for, you need something close to eight metres by eight metres of usable yard. That is the one thing worth checking with a tape measure before you order, because it catches people out more often than anything else. If that's more than you have, the Matilda Play Set covers most of the same play in a smaller footprint, and the Marlie Cubby House is smaller again.

Finishing

It arrives in a natural stain. Painting or sealing it is what protects the timber long-term – see our painting and maintenance guide.
