The Henry Hideout

The Henry Hideout is the lightest elevated playset Hide & Seek Kids make and the cheapest way into a slide-and-climbing-wall setup: an open platform with a large wavy slide, a rock climbing wall with grips, stair access and a sandpit underneath, with fabric roll-up screen walls instead of timber panels. Roll the screens up and it's an open fort; roll them down and it's an enclosed hideaway.

Who it suits

Recommended for ages 5 and up. Because there's no timber cubby on top, it's less of a house and more of a climbing structure, which is exactly what most 5–9-year-olds want. It also takes up less room than the Marlie or My Kidz Shack.

What arrives and what's involved

Three cartons, 70 kg in total – the lightest of the elevated range, and the one you can realistically carry through a side gate on your own. Pre-fabricated panels; 3–4 hours for two adults. It arrives with a temporary water-based stain and needs two coats of primer/sealer and two coats of exterior paint for durability and warranty. See our painting guide.
