Why monkey bars

Of all the backyard equipment we sell, monkey bars have the longest useful life. A slide gets outgrown; bars keep getting harder as kids attempt them faster, backwards, or skipping rungs. They're also one of the few things that builds real upper-body strength and grip, which is why they've stayed in school playgrounds for decades.

Space and setup

Allow clear space along the full 2.7m length plus room at each end, and put it over grass, bark or softfall rather than concrete or pavers. Anchor it properly – a frame kids hang and swing from needs to be fixed down.

Building it up
